Privacy Policy

RealtyZoom is an AI underwriting and deal-management platform for real-estate wholesalers, and a marketplace where cash buyers browse verified off-market deals. This policy explains what data RealtyZoom collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

It applies to the RealtyZoom web application at realtyzoom.com, the RealtyZoom Chrome extension, and the RealtyZoom iPhone app.

Not every section applies to every product. The Chrome extension is used only by wholesaler teams, and the call-audio processing described below happens only there — the iPhone app does not record, access, or process phone calls, and does not request microphone access.

1. Data we collect

Account information

When you create a RealtyZoom account or sign in, we collect your name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), and the organization you belong to. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser’s secure storage and on our servers.

Free report requests

When you request a free property report on realtyzoom.com without an account, we collect your name, email address, mobile phone number, the property address you submit, and your SMS consent (see Section 3). We use this to verify your phone number, run and deliver your report, and follow up about it.

Call audio and transcripts

When you manually start a session, the Chrome extension captures audio from the active browser tab (the call you’re on) and from your microphone. The audio is transcribed in real time and used to extract deal details, prepare underwriting, and auto-fill contract fields. We store the resulting transcripts in our database so you can review the conversation later. We do not record audio outside an active session.

Lead and property data

While you’re viewing a lead in your CRM (REsimpli, Go High Level, Salesforce, etc.), the extension reads context such as the property address, the seller’s name and contact information, and any notes you’ve added. When you submit a deal for underwriting, we also fetch comparable-property data and listing photos from third-party real-estate data providers (RPR and RentCast).

RealtyZoom iPhone app

If you use the iPhone app, we additionally collect:

• Push notification token. A device token issued by Apple, so we can alert you when a deal matching your buy box is published or when someone replies to you. Used only to deliver notifications. Turning notifications off in iOS stops them.
• Photos and camera. Only when you choose to attach a proof-of-funds document to an offer. We access the specific image you pick; we never browse your photo library and we do not access the camera at any other time. These documents are shared with the seller of that property as part of your offer.
• Your buy box and saved deals. The criteria you set and the listings you save, so we can match and alert you.
• Offers and messages. Offers you submit and messages you send through the app, shared with the counterparty on that deal.
• Mobile number, if you provide one. Optional, and only used to text you about matching deals. See section 3.

Cookies and marketing attribution

On our website we set a small number of first-party cookies. One is a random identifier that lets us count visitors and understand which steps of our site people stop at. Two more record which marketing campaign a link came from, so we can tell which of our own emails and texts are working. They contain no name, email address, or phone number.

We do not sell this data, we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other companies’ websites. The iPhone app does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across apps or websites.

Usage and configuration

RealtyZoom stores settings you choose — underwriting parameters (rehab rates, fees, repair factor), notification preferences, and similar product configuration. We do not collect general browsing history; the extension activates only on the CRM and property-data domains listed in its manifest.

Communications you send us

If you contact support, we receive whatever information you choose to share in your message.

2. How we use your data

• To transcribe your calls and extract deal details from the conversation.
• To produce underwriting reports (ARV, CMV, MAOs) for the deals you submit.
• To auto-prepare contracts from the terms discussed on the call.
• To deliver email, SMS, and Slack notifications when an analysis is ready.
• To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
• To debug, monitor, and improve product reliability.
• To honor your settings and preferences across devices.

We do not use your data for advertising, profile-building, or training general-purpose AI models. RealtyZoom does not sell user data.

3. SMS / text message communications

If you request a free property report on realtyzoom.com and provide your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS text messages from RealtyZoom Solutions, LLC (“RealtyZoom”) related to your request, including a one-time verification code, a link to your completed report, scheduling messages, and occasional follow-up communications about your property and offer. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@realtyzoom.com. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

SMS opt-in data. We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your phone number or SMS opt-in consent information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your SMS consent data is used solely by RealtyZoom Solutions, LLC to communicate with you as described in this policy. The phone-verification code is delivered through Twilio Verify on our behalf and is not used for marketing.

4. Service providers we use

To deliver RealtyZoom we share data with a small number of vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — transcripts, photos, and lead context are sent to Anthropic’s API to extract deal details and generate underwriting analysis. Anthropic processes inputs under its enterprise terms and does not use them to train its models.
• Supabase — our managed database and authentication provider, which stores your account, transcripts, and analyses.
• Vercel and Fly.io — the hosting providers that run the RealtyZoom web app and AI worker.
• RPR and RentCast — real-estate data sources used to fetch comps and property photos when you submit a deal.
• Twilio — delivers phone verification codes and SMS notifications. Twilio processes your phone number solely to transmit these messages and does not use it for marketing.
• Email provider — we use a transactional email service to send underwriting notifications and account emails.

We disclose data only to these service providers, to comply with legal obligations, or with your explicit consent.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained for the lifetime of your RealtyZoom account. Call transcripts and underwriting analyses are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion. You can delete individual analyses from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email support@realtyzoom.com.

6. Your rights

You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time.In the iPhone app, open Account and choose Delete Account; on the web, the same control is in your account settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, saved deals, buy box, offers and messages.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export, or object to certain processing of the personal data RealtyZoom holds about you. To exercise any of those rights, email support@realtyzoom.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

Data is transmitted to RealtyZoom over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled databases. We follow industry-standard practices to protect against unauthorized access, but no system is completely secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.

8. Children

RealtyZoom is a B2B tool for real-estate professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as RealtyZoom evolves. Material changes will be announced by email and reflected by an updated “Effective” date at the top of this page. Continued use of RealtyZoom after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
